About NZCMAS

Providing services – Since 1988

New Zealand Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Society (NZCMAS) has been providing service to the Chinese medicine and acupuncture community since (1988). We are a democratically elected professional body that represents our members and industry in our local community and internationally.

All our members are required to meet high standards of education and practice competency to gain registration and provided safe and effective treatment to the New Zealand public.

ACC and the New Zealand government has recognised the value in the effectiveness of the services we provide In particular Acupuncture. NZCMAS members are recognised as ACC providers through registration with New Zealand Acupuncture Standards Authority.

  • Our members are required to complete a set number of continuing education hours every year to ensure that they are always up skilling and contuinuing to improve their service to the public.

  • NZCMAS is a member of the World Federation of Chinese medicine with a close relationship with professional bodies within China as well as Australia.

  • All of our members are bound by our organisations accreditation standards, Code of ethics and Standards of practice.

Prepare Required Documents & Submit Your Application

Prepare the relevant supporting documents according to your membership type (e.g., qualifications, proof of student status, proof of identity, insurance, etc.).

Complete the application form and submit it together with all required documents online or by email.

Application Review & Membership Activation

All applications are reviewed by NZCMAS. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by email. Once approved and payment (if applicable) is received, membership will be activated.
